ROLE: ART DIRECTOR
What does a 3D Art Director do? A look behind the scenes where I edit product curation, select set textures and materials, and direct lighting as if designing a real environment. Every small detail of the storytelling is considered to ensure the space feels intentional.
Seasonal trend campaign: Summer in Italy
THE OBJECTIVE
Elevate perception of Walmart’s home category through editorial-style imagery for a Summer campaign. With travel less accessible for customers, inspire escape through interiors using 3D to visualize the seasonal trend story.
THE CHALLENGE
Build a 3D home from scratch and direct summer lighting, while achieving photorealism and consistency. Edit curation assortment to highlight key trend direction. Flex for stakeholder input and wireframe adjustments.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The flexibility to produce at scale with zero location budget. Drive storytelling to create transportive visuals for customers while supporting modular asset reuse and efficient production.
3D unlocks complete creative control. From effortless product swaps to lighting, color, and layout. No re-shoots. No weather delays. Just seamless, scalable imagery built for modern home campaigns.
Controlled Flexibility

Editorial Precision
Every surface, shadow, and texture is art directed with intent. 3D gives brands the ability to create atmospheric, elevated visuals that feel real and refined.
Scaled with Intention
Full-room 3D scenes offer a sustainable alternative to traditional set builds. Digital twins replicate real products with accuracy, allowing for consistent storytelling, reusable assets, and a reduced environmental footprint.

Seamless for Paid Media
3D assets are built to match the look and feel of traditional photography, making them ideal for use in paid media. They drive the same level of engagement while reducing production costs for greater efficiency and impact.
Revenue-Driven Storytelling
Back to College is a top-performing retail moment for Fortune 1. 3D makes it easy to create lifestyle-driven, conversion-focused content. Dorm room sets can be built virtually, with props and product renders created even before physical samples exist, speeding up timelines and driving earlier engagement.
3D allows brands to produce holiday content quickly without seasonal constraints. From on-demand snow for Christmas to candles that never burn out and out-of-season pumpkins for Halloween, scenes can flex to reflect trends, promotions, and localized storytelling.
